With the powerful storms Friday night came flash flooding.
The Washington Chapel Baptist Church in College Station had water in the Fellowship Hall when members opened the doors Saturday afternoon.
The church is more than 100 years old and had flooded before about 10 years ago.
"I guess if we get rain we certainly will have that problem so I'm not sure what we're gonna do about it to try to alleviate your problem," said Philip Steen Jr., a Washington Chapel Baptist Church Deacon.
Fortunately the sanctuary was not affected and the church hopes to keep the carpet after it is dried out.
