College Station residents who participate in the city’s curbside recycling are eligible for valuable discounts at partnering restaurants and cafés through the Recycling Rewards program.

Recycle Rewards cards are offered when residents enroll in curbside recycling. Existing curbside recycling participants are rewarded based on their participation throughout the year. More than 1,000 cards have been issued since the rewards program began in January.

Participating businesses are Café Eccell, Chef Tai Mobile Bistro, Happy Yogurt, La Bodega, Naked Fish Sushi & Grill, Newk’s Express Café, Spoons and Sweet Eugene’s House of Java. Keep Brazos Beautiful also offers a $10 discount on memberships in the organization.

The card does not accrue points or additional rewards and can be used as often as the participant likes.

Items intended for recycling must be on the curb by 8 a.m. on the scheduled recycling day to be eligible. To learn more, contact Recycling Coordinator Heather Qualls at 979.764.6228 or hqualls@cstx.gov.

For more information on the city’s recycling services, go to cstx.gov/recycle.
