If you drove down Highway 47 over the weekend, you might have noticed a few trees that were bulldozed.

No it's not part of the drought that hit Texas over the summer, it's actually the start of construction for the Health Science Center overpass.

Last week crews started clearing land for the HSC overpass which will be similar to the overpass at Villa Maria.

There are five phases of the overpass construction with a completion date scheduled for Spring of 2013.

The total estimated cost of the overpass is $9.7 million.
