On Monday, February 13, 2012, beginning at 8:30 am, Texas A&M University’s contractor will begin construction along the outside lane of northbound FM 2154 (Wellborn Road) between FM 60 (University Drive) and Joe Routt.

The curb and gutter along this stretch of roadway will be removed and the roadway will be widened with a temporary pavement. This temporary pavement will serve as part of the detour allowing the contractor to construct the Wellborn Rd. southbound bridge over Old Main.
The closure is scheduled to last 8 days with a traffic switch following the completion of the temporary pavement and installation of temporary signals at the intersection of Old Main.
This lane closure signifies the start of Phase 2 of the $25 million dollar FM 2154 Texas A&M Underpass Project contracted to McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.
