BRYAN - Dispatchers with the Bryan Police Department say all lanes of Highway 21 in Bryan near Marino Rd. are back open after an accident in which a truck ran off the road, trapping the driver inside.

Police say it happened just after 6p.m. in the 5000 block of E. State Highway 21 on Friday.

Investigators say a single truck was headed West when the driver lost control and hit a tree. The driver was taken to St. Joseph Hospital with what police called 'life threatening injuries'.

Traffic in both directions of Highway 21 was shut down for hours as crews cleared the scene and reconstructed the accident.

So far there's been no official details released on the driver's identity or any further conditions on his health.
