DPS Pursuit Ends in Crash on Highway 6 in Bryan

A DPS pursuit has ended with a two car crash in Bryan.

It happened late Sunday night on Highway 6 under the Old Reliance and MLK Bridge.

Officials say they were chasing a suspect down Highway 6 southbound after a report of reckless driving in Robertson County.

The suspect, who was driving a tan truck crashed into the back of a red truck also traveling down Highway 6 southbound.

The red truck crashed under the Old Reliance and MLK Bridge in Bryan while the tan truck spun out of control and crashed off the roadway into a ditch.

The suspect was taken to St. Joseph in Bryan with unknown injuries. The driver of the red truck refused treatment and a female passenger in the red truck was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Highway 6 was briefly shut down after the accident but has reopened.
