On Friday, July 27, 2012, beginning at 1pm, the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) contractor will begin a double lane closure for westbound University Drive traffic to conduct pavement repairs and install a storm sewer line. The lane closure will begin just west of the Nagle/University intersection with the outside lane closed first and the middle lane to follow. One lane of traffic will be in place between Lodge Street and Boyett Street.
Pedestrians – What to expect
The crosswalk at the College Main/University intersection will be closed to pedestrians. Pedestrian traffic will be re-routed to the Ashbury/Tauber intersection or Boyett intersection.
This double lane closure is expected to last for one week. Traffic delays are to be expected and alternate routes around this area are encouraged.
This work is part of the $3.7 million dollar FM 60 Project contracted to Knife River. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2012.
