Eastbound Lanes of SH 21 West Now Open at SH 47

UPDATE:

Eastbound SH 21 West Lanes Closed at SH 47-I am happy to report that all lanes of SH 21 are now open. This is what we know, a tractor trailer hauling a trackhoe on SH 21 eastbound hit the SH 47 bridge. TxDOT patched the roadway where the trackhoe fell on SH 21. There was no concrete damage to the SH 47 bridge. No one was hurt in this accident.

TxDOT has closed the eastbound lanes of SH 21 West at SH 47 because the bridge has been hit by a heavy load. Eastbound traffic on SH 21 west is begin detoured down SH 47. Crews are on the scene accessing the damage.

We hope to have the eastbound lanes reopen by 3pm this afternoon.
