It takes a lot to get ready for the big meal and Epicures Catering and volunteers are stepping up to the plate.
"I can't imagine not having a Thanksgiving meal so were excited about providing a Thanksgiving meal for others," said Rochelle Heslip.
Volunteer Rochelle Heslip looks forward to sitting around the table with her family and wants others to be apart of that.
Kim Mitchell, an executive chef is whipping up the feast.
"We are preparing to feed people tomorrow if you're in nursing homes, don't have family, transportation or don't have the means period to make yourself a meal, " said Kim Mitchell.
A tent will serve as a drive-thru where volunteers will prepare over a thousand meals in boxes and load them into vehicles to be delivered.
For those helping it's about giving from the heart.
"It's kind of sad when you think about someone not having a Thanksgiving dinner, because everyone should be grateful for something," said Rickie Galindo.
Even though some came to cook on Wednesday, Epicures Catering is still in need of volunteers to help out on Thursday.
Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful and these volunteers want just that for those who are in need.
All meals are FREE. To order a meal call Epicures Catering at (979) 695-0985.
