A party is brewing in North Texas Friday night as thousands of fans make their way to Frisco for Satruday's F-C-S National Championship game between Sam Houston State and North Dakota State.
It's already been an incredible season -- one many are hoping will be capped off by a big win Satruday.
A majority of fans took Friday to travel to Frisco. North Dakota State fans drove in, spending some 20 hours on the road. Sam Houston fans, waiting until Friday afternoon to get here. It's only a short 3-4 hour drive.
But Bearkats and Bison fans are here for two reasons: tailgating and football.
The hustle and bustle begins as the countdown to the F-C-S National Championship Game featuring Sam Houston State University and North Dakota State University drops to less than 24 hours.
"We left Bismarck, North Dakota, at 7:30 Wednesday night," explains Jeff Zwarych.
"We're in a motor home all 7 of us together. So we played some cards, took turns driving and had a real fun trip actually."
Zwarych and his gang drove all night to get to Frisco Thursday afternoon. This is his first time in Texas.
"We're here to tailgate and support the Bearkats as much as what we can. We're all about them," says Kelsey Christian.
She brought the whole kitchen with her.
"We're going to tailgate, and after we win the game tomorrow, we're going to part with our national championship," says Christian.
The chance for each team to walk away with a national championship isn't lost on the fans.
