A head-on crash in North Bryan Wednesday afternoon killed one person and sent a pregnant woman to the hospital.
The woman killed in that crash has been identified as 81 year old Johnnie Dozier of Bryan.
The two vehicle accident shut down southbound Highway 6 for hours.
The wreck happened around 5 p.m. near the exit ramp for Texas Avenue.
Bryan police say Dozier was driving a blue Buick the wrong way, heading north on the southbound side of highway 6.
She crashed head on with a Nissan Altima.
The driver of the Altima, a pregnant woman, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan with non life threatening injures but police did tell us that she was in surgery.
Police say they believe Dozier got on Highway 6 going the wrong way at Tabor Road.
