Father-Son Duo Charged with Milam County Burglary

A father and son face burglary charges in Milam County.

Deputies arrested Clinton and Joshua Barnett of Granger shortly after a neighbor reported seeing the men carrying furniture out of a house off FM 908 north of Thorndale near FM 486.

The 46- and 21-year-olds were stopped in their truck shortly after the neighbor called the sheriff's office.

The pair admitted to taking the furniture and other things, and said they thought the house was abandoned.

Bond for each was set at $15,000 on their burglary charges. Authorities are investigating where the two are behind other burglaries.
