Neighbors in Bryan reported to police the sightings of a man in camouflage with a rifle, leading to an arrest of a felon with weapons.
About 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, police arrested Andre Saenz near Sam Houston Elementary School near Copperfield Drive and Somerford Lane.
Police say the rifle people had reported seeing was a rubber practice rifle, but they later found he had a handgun and an illegal knife.
When Bryan Police checked Saenz's background, they found he was also a convicted felon. Because of the previous felony arrest and since he was in possession of a knife and gun, he was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
As of Wednesday evening, the Bryan 34-year-old was in the Brazos County jail being held on $4,000 bond.
