Volunteer firefighters from Brazos and Robertson Counties have put out a house fire in northwest Brazos County.
The home is located in the 2500 block of Enloe Drive in a neighborhood just north of Lake Bryan and was fully involved.
Additional crews were dispatched to the scene to prevent the fire from spreading into nearby wooded areas.
Firefighters received the call shortly before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The property owner tells News 3's crew on the scene that the resident was not home at the time.
Emergency officials say it took more than half an hour to contain the blaze and keep it from spreading to surrounding brush, which was made worse by dry conditions. The home was a total loss.
