It has been a month since the fertilizer plant explosion demolished the town of West. That blast killed 15 people, including 12 first responders, most of which were volunteers.

Saturday, Emergency Services Agencies of Robertson County hosted "Feast for West" to benefit the families of the first responders who lost their lives during the West explosion.

First Responder Ed Grannan says this fundraiser is a small way they can pay tribute to their fallen brothers and help the community cope.

"It really is heartening to see how people respond to incidents like this and to show that people really do care." said Grannan, a Wheelock firefighter and EMT. "When something like this happens, you know we would like to think our families are being taken care of. We want to show the support for them."

The feast starts Saturday evening at 5 p.m. at Franklin Fire Station No. 2, which is located one mile south of Franklin from the railroad tracks on the highway.

There will be dinner and plenty of dancing. Spaghetti dinner plates are ten dollars.
