Updated: Fri 10:53 PM, Oct 26, 2012

The former office manager at a local business has been accused of stealing money from her employer over a number of years.

Debra Dayhoff Sikes, 56, is charged with theft of $200,000 or more, a first-degree felony.

College Station Police say Sikes had been the office manager at McCord Engineering, Inc. The company's owner reportedly contacted police in August after Sikes' successor found accounting discrepancies.

Investigators believe Sikes took at least $217,000 from McCord for her personal credit card accounts since at least July 2003.

Sikes turned herself in Friday. Her bond was set at $20,000.
