Former Madison County Sheriff Douget Passes Away

Former Madison County Sheriff Dan Douget passed away Tuesday. Douget was first elected sheriff in 1998 and served four terms in the position, retiring due to health reasons on Dec. 31, 2010.

Funeral arrangements are still tentative, but as of now a visitation was planned at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7.

A service has been tentatively scheduled for Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the church, followed by a luncheon. Burial is tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m. at Camp Ruby Cemetery near Livingston.
