Former Walker County Clerk Charged with Embezzlement

A Walker County Clerk's office former employee has been charged with embezzling between $1,500 and $20,000 of the county's revenue.

Rachel Yarabeck was indicted on felony charges of theft of property by a public servant. According to authorities, Yarabeck stole from cash transactions at the county clerk's office for more than a year.

So far, the investigation has revealed that Yarabeck allegedly stole about $9,000. The Texas Rangers are assisting in the case.
