Kinky Friedman is set to bring his one-of-a-kind stylings to Bryan.
The author and musician will be at The Village Café in Downtown Bryan Friday night. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., with a meet and greet at 6:00.
Both are ticketed events (the show costs $30 a ticket, with a meet and greet spot going for $25), and proceeds to go toward funding KEOS Community Radio.
Friedman, who gained even more prominence during his run for governor in 2006, will sing many of his well-known songs, including "They Ain’t Makin’ Jews Like Jesus Anymore." He also plans to provide his brand of political commentary, which has regularly been featured on national news programs even after his run for Texas' top elected spot.
