Memorial services for 63-year-old Tommy Ray Preston, Sr. of College Station were held Saturday morning at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Preston served a combined 20 years in law enforcement for College Station Police and then the Brazos County Sheriff's Office.

On April 21, Preston and a friend were fishing on Lake Mary in western Brazos County when their canoe capsized. Preston went under and never resurfaced. Investigators say he was not wearing a life jacket.
