Good Samaritans Chase and Catch College Station Robbery Suspect

Good samaritans caught a suspected purse snatcher Tuesday night in College Station after a woman was robbed.

It happened at the Kroger supermarket at Texas Avenue and Southwest Parkway.

Police say a man yanked a purse from a woman in the parking lot.

Several witnesses chased the suspect to a nearby apartment complex and then back to the shopping center where they detained him until police arrived.

Police arrested 25 year old Linard Muckelroy, Junior of Hearne. He's now charged with robbery.

Investigators say he ripped the purse from the woman's arm causing minor injuries to the victim.

One of the witnesses says the suspect dropped the purse as they were chasing him.
