MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Deputies found a grisly scene at a Montgomery County home Tuesday afternoon.
According to investigators, a 19-year-old man tied up his 15-year-old girlfriend and 17-year-old sister and beat the sister to death before stabbing himself in their rural home.
It happened in the 24000 block of Marshburn on the Montgomery-Waller County line.
Deputies said the suspect bound both girls with duct tape before the beating. Somehow, the 15-year-old was able to cut herself free and escape, and she ran to call 911.
When officers arrived, they found the 17-year-old dead and the 19-year-old suspect hiding in a closet. They said he had a self-inflicted stab wound to the chest and claimed to have taken a bunch of pills.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition but was expected to survive, deputies said.
Investigators said the victim was beaten with unknown objects.
Neighbors said the family had lived at the home for years and never caused any trouble before.
The identities of the victim and the suspect were not released.
