Harkrider Named Finalist for Superintendent for WISD

WILLIS, Texas Tim Harkrider has been named finalist for superintendent's seat at Willis High School.

The board of trustees met Wednesday night to share their votes and and the results were 5 to 2 in favor of Harkrider.

With just one year under his belt as principle of Willis High, the board described Harkrider as "energetic, hardworking and positive."

They took into consideration his diverse background in athletics, teaching and achievements as an administrator.

In one year at Willis, Harkrider has shown his ability to lead with progress through an increase of TAKS scores of this years juniors in comparison to the same students as sophomores .

Harkrider holds a Master of Education in Education Leadership and Policy Studies with Principal Certification from the University of Texas at Arlington.
