Hearne Car Fire Shuts Down Northbound Lanes of Highway 6 Sunday Morning

An early morning car fire caused some delays for travelers on Highway 6 in Robertson County just south of Hearne.

Firefighters and first responders had to contain the vehicle fire which started around midnight Sunday morning.

Hearne Police say the Oldsmobile 85 sedan's engine caught fire.

The driver and passenger were uninjured in the incident.

The northbound lanes of Highway 6 were closed during the fire near Cedar Loop.

Traffic was redirected around the destroyed car.
