Construction will soon begin on the Hearne Fire Station damaged two months ago in a fire.

In February a Hearne fire truck was destroyed when it caught fire and flames spread to the station. Crews are expected to start making repairs in the next two weeks. Insurance will help replace the damaged equipment, but in the meantime the department is asking for donations from the community. Authorities say the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
