Hearne Man Arrested for Possession of Marijuana

A Hearne man, pulled over for speeding, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

41 year old Warren LaCharles Mayes was pulled over for speeding Thursday night.

As police approached his car, they noticed it smelled of marijuana.

A search recovered 2 pounds of Marijuana as well as a large sum of money.

The street value is approximately $1,600.00.

Mayes faces up to a $10,000 fine and two years in jail.
