A homeless man was killed after he was hit by a pickup in Burleson County.

Investigators say it happened Sunday morning on Lakeview Drive, about 5 miles west of Caldwell.

They identified the victim as 62 year old Will Waugh who they say had fallen asleep against a tree on the side of Lakeview Drive.

They also say a 22 year old man was driving down Lakeview in a pickup truck when his view was blocked by the sun and a hill, and he hit Waugh.

The victim was taken to Scott and White Hospital in Temple where he died.
