COLLEGE STATION, Texas-The president and chief executive officer of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has resigned to lead Texas A&M University's 12th Man Foundation.

Both organizations Wednesday announced the job change for Skip Wagner. The foundation helps fund A&M athletic scholarships, programs and facilities.

Wagner takes over from Stu Starner, who delayed his own retirement to serve as interim foundation president and CEO after last fall's retirement of Miles Mark.

Wagner was with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo from 1992 to 2000 as assistant to the general manager. He spent three years as president and general manager of the Oklahoma State Fair before returning to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in 2004. Wagner became president and CEO the following year.
