The rain didn't stop hundreds of people from taking part in the first triathlon Bryan/College Station has had in more than 25 years.
The race included a 400 Meter swim in A&M Natatorium, 12 mile bike course though campus, and a 5k run. More than 400 people participated.
The winner was Texas A&M student Scott Wilkinson who completed the race in just 56 minutes.
"It's great! It feels really good to be the winner of the first inaugural race. It's fun to be able to just ride your bike from your house instead of driving to Houston or Austin. I had a great time and it was a great course. I hope they do it again next year,” said Wilkinson.
All of the proceeds from the race go to the Children's Museum of Brazos Valley.
