Huntsville Student Arrested after BB Gun Found At School

HUNTSVILLE - Police arrested a Huntsville student Wendesday after a complaint from a parent that he brought a BB gun to school.

It happened at Huntsville High school when district officials say they found a BB gun inside the student's backpack. They say the high school was not locked down and appropriate steps were taken to ensure student safety.

The district says appropriate administrative discipline action was taken against the student according to its official code of conduct.

Police records show the student was arrested on a minor weapons charge.
