Huntsville PD Investigating Shooting as Aggravated Assault

Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department are looking into a shooting Tuesday afternoon. They believe it may be an aggravated assault.

According to authorities, a person was shot in the 900 block of Birmingham Street around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim was transported to Huntsville Memorial Hospital by private vehicle.

The shooting is still under investigation and no suspect or suspects had been taken into custody.
