Immunization cilnics gear up for busy season

BRYAN, Texas It's not the most popular subject with kids, but parents know just how important an immunization shot can be.

As the school year draws near, The Brazos County Health Department says their doors are open and their nurses are ready.

The clinic has new rules effective as of last year for their immunization clinics. Officials with the clinic say children who have private insurance are not eligible to get vaccinated at the clinic. Vaccines for children ages 2 months to 18 years are $5.

The clinic, located in the 200 block of North Texas Avenue in downtown Bryan, offers vaccines throughout the week. Times vary, so for more information, visit brazoshealth.org.

In August, officials said they'll ramp up their hours for the clinics to get to as many children as possible. Those times will also be posted on their website.
