Infant Dead in Montgomery County Crash

An eight-month old baby has been killed after an alcohol related crash in Montgomery County.

It happened around 6:00 p.m. Monday near the community of Cut and Shoot just east of Conroe.

Police say the driver Ashli Heil lost control when she took a curve too fast, tried to over correct and crashed into a tree. Her eight-month-old died instantly.

Heil, 28, was taken by Air Ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston where she is listed in stable condition.

DPS says alcohol was involved and excessive speed was a factor.
