Bryan, TX - Premiere Cinemas and IMAX are pleased to announce that they will be installing the largest indoor movie screen anywhere between Dallas, Houston, and Austin on August 18, 2013 at 10am. The screen itself is 5 stories high, has a surface area of nearly 3000 square feet, and requires a 10 person team just to hoist it up.
After months of construction and meticulous planning, the Brazos Valley's first and only IMAX is nearing completion. The hanging of this massive screen marks an important milestone on the road to delivering the Brazos Valley with the world's most immersive movie experience by putting the audience in the middle of the action like nothing else can.
Impressive as the screen itself; the installation is a feat of engineering and is carried out by IMAX specially trained technicians. The event is a well thought out and choreographed undertaking that IMAX has perfected over the years and is a truly unique experience to witness.
