Bryan's Johnson Elementary School celebrated its 40th birthday Friday.

Current and former students attended a "40 Years of Excellence" bash featuring musical performances and speeches from district officials. They took the time to share memories of their days at Johnson and reflect on four decades worth of changes to the school.

Johnson has had only four principals in its 40 year history - and in that time it has been named a National Blue Ribbon school twice.

News 3's Crystal Galny - a former Johnson Jaguar - was the emcee of the event.
