Down at the Missionary Camp Baptist Church in Navasota, you can hear one heavenly voice.

That's were you'll find Jacqueline Calhoun.

The Anderson woman has been going to Missionary Camp for 14 years and singing is her passion.

"I am blessed, I'm pretty blessed," said Calhoun.

Her amazing voice is an incredible gift and when the BET channel held tryouts for their reality show Sunday's Best, Jackie decided to step up the microphone.

"I stopped being a couch potato and decided this year that I would go and try in Dallas. Sometimes you don't get but that one shot and you want to make the best of it," said Calhoun.

After arriving at 6 in the morning, Jackie didn't perform for the judges until 10:30 that night.

"I went through four different auditions to get the final audition and they loved me when I got there," said Calhoun.

She was sent to Atlanta were she competed on the show but wasn't able to crack the top 10.

But the experience isn't over yet.

"It has just been an awesome ride and I'm really enjoying it," said Calhoun.

Jackie will be featured on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show and she has already released a single.

"I love singing. That's my life, that's all I've known. I love to do that so I want to keep my dream going, I'm having a wonderful time doing it," said Calhoun.

It's all about singing for the glory and it is taking this Grimes county woman to new heights.
