Santa Claus was out spreading his Christmas magic at Santa's Wonderland in College Station for the annual KBTX Letters to Santa competition.
11-year-old Alexis Hall, her mom, and little nieces Ke'Asia , Tati and Zamya were selected for some special gifts after Alexis wrote Saint Nick.
She told him about the challenges her single mom Betty has faced, including losing her job in August and not being able to find a new one.
The family got a Nintendo Wii, some clothes and other goodies too.
Alexis is an honor student at Jane Long Middle School.
"I just didn't want to have the presents if I won by myself. When my mom buys me something she not only buys for me she buys for my three nieces," said Alexis Hall.
"My church family has been helping me out a lot too. We really been praying just been praying and praying and prayer changes things and this is a blessing from God. I know this is coming from man but God works through people and we're just so appreciative and I just thank y'all and I thank God," said Betty Hall, a Bryan mom.
The family also got the great surprise of a $1,000 check to help pay for expenses.
At the end of the evening they got to do a hayride and see all the lights at Santa's Wonderland.
