Austin American-Statesman Story
The former deputy chancellor of the Texas A&M System who made headlines for how he handled his firing has landed a new job.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, Jay Kimbrough is the new assistant director of the Texas Department of Public Safety. He'll oversee homeland security for the agency.
Kimbrough was removed from his post at the A&M System in the fall and reportedly pulled out a knife in front of lawyers and told them to "bring it on." Police had to escort him from the building.
Kimbrough later said he was joking and that it was a misunderstanding.
