BRYAN, Texas The LaSalle Hotel is expanding in Downtown Bryan.
Three weeks ago the owners of the LaSalle Hotel purchased the vacant Los Nortenos Restaurant just across the street on Main Street.
The hotel plans to completely remodel the building and use it as an extension for the hotel for gatherings, meeting space and even weddings.
They will also add a full commercial kitchen, but first they have to get the building up to code.
"Right now we're in the process of working on our electricity, our plumbing in the interim. As we are getting our site plan developed and working our way through the city process we're donating the space for a haunted house that will benefit the Queen down here," said Lisa Wiedemann, Managing Partner with Clarke & Wyndham Real Estate for the LaSalle Hotel.
"It's good for business and it's also good for Downtown Bryan revitalization. What they are wanting to do you know continued improvement of the hotel," said Joey Dunn, Bryan Deputy City Manager.
The LaSalle's new reception center is expected to open in time for Valentine's Day.
