The last of 298 dogs seized in a raid on a dog rescue facility last month in Willis were loaded up this afternoon for a trip to an animal shelter in Montgomery County.
Earlier today the United States Humane Society sent down a large modified motorhome designed to carry dogs.
They loaded up 45 dogs, mostly pit bulls, for a trip to the northeastern United States where there is a shortage and many adoption requests.
The raid happened July 17th and investigators say they found mistreated dogs inside cages stacked three feet high.
They say the cages were welded shut with the dogs living in terrible conditions.
