The Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley has a big fundraiser scheduled for Thursday night, and you can help.

It's called "Let's Have a Ball", and will help fund the programs at the Children's Museum in downtown Bryan.

The museum is a non-profit organization, and doesn't get funds from the City of Bryan or Brazos County. This is one of the big events to help pay for the hands-on discovery displays at the museum.

Museum Executive Director Christina Seidel says, "Kids learn through play, as well as adults. How many times have you sat around and played Cranium and Scrabble and you've found that you've learned something new. Well, it's the same way with kids, and at the museum they get tricked, I always like to say, into learning new things."

"Let's Have a Ball" is Thursday night from 6 to 10pm at the College Station Hilton ballroom. But this is just for adults

Tickets are $50 for food, beverages, and all kinds of prizes, and that includes a chance to win a trip to Key West, Florida.

News 3's John Gilbert will serve as master ceremonies once again, along with auctioneer Buck Buchanan.
