A local armed robbery is caught on camera, and police are asking for the public's help identifying the suspects.
Bryan police say a shot was fired at the Hillcrest Grocery convenience store on South College Avenue in Bryan.
The robbery happened just before 8 a.m. last Friday at the store.
"Typically we do have firearms that are used in these robberies. It is more of an intimidation factor. You very rarely see that a firearm is discharged during that robbery,” said Officer Kelley McKethan with the Bryan Police Department.
Investigators say one shot was fired inside the store. Surveillance video captured the suspects in action.
Officer McKethan gave a description of the robbery. "It looks like a normal day at the store. There are a few customers who are in the store. As the suspects enter, they [the customers] were told to go to the ground which you can see all of the victims, they do comply,” said McKethan.
Some cash was taken, and then police say the suspects fled on foot. Witnesses called 911.
Police were not able to catch the suspects, now the only thing they have to rely on is the video and the public's help.
"When you see someone you know and they are moving, you kind of tend to know who that is if you are very close to that person, so that is what we are asking, for people that may recognize mannerisms or any of the clothing or anything like that to give us a call,” said McKethan.
Luckily police say no one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect wearing a dark shirt and gray pants is described as a White or Hispanic male. The second suspect's race is unknown.
