Texas A&M's president is providing some more insight into the current conference realignment talks involving the Aggies.
In a video released by the university, R. Bowen Loftin discusses why A&M is moving towards a departure from the Big 12. He says the main reason is gaining national visibility for A&M.
Loftin says academic budgets could be enhanced with additional funding gained by a move, presumably to the SEC.
He gave no timeline for a move, and repeated his stance that the Aggies are willing to play the Texas Longhorns every year at any place and time the sides can agree on.
