BRAZOS COUNTY- Some special Brazos Valley residents participated in what's known as the The Longest Day Challenge, it's a sunrise-to-sunset game of cards to raise awareness and funds for the research of Alzheimer's.
In the Brazos Valley area, more than a couple dozen turned out and began playing Bridge this morning to raise funds locally.
It was a pay to play day of Bridge...many of the players say they are just enjoying getting together, and playing for a good cause.
Worldwide, there are at least 44 million people living with Alzheimer's
and other dementias, including 330-thousand here in Texas.
