More than 700 Lutheran women from across the state of Texas are in College Station for a special mission this weekend.
They're meeting at the College Station Hilton through Sunday to plan mission trips, collect items for less fortunate people, and worship.
It's the 37th Biennial Convention of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
The overall message is to inspire all women to become bolder and more assured in their mission trips and faith.
Kathy Lowman, President of the Women's Missionary League says,
"We will be talking about adornment, but not with clothes and jewels, but our inward beauty of being in our word, from God."
The keynote speaker for this year's convention is Heidi Floyd, a breast cancer survivor, who will talk about her mission trips.
