BRYAN Madisonville Police Officer Tyler Ogle received the Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer Award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving on Tuesday.
In a ceremony at the Veranda in Bryan, Officer Ogle was given the award which recognizes outstanding law enforcement officers that have dedicated their lives to combating one of the most dangerous crimes; driving while intoxicated.
From September 2012 to present, Officer Ogle has arrested more than 90 impaired or drunk drivers off the roads of Madisonville, allowing the citizens of Madisonville to travel throughout the city safely. Officer Ogle was joined by seventeen other law enforcement officers from throughout a ten county region who all strive to remove impaired drivers from their communities.
“This officer’s passion in life is taking impaired drivers of our streets and this is evident by his efforts in this field of enforcement," said Madisonville Police Chief C.W. May.
"Officer Ogle is a valuable asset to this organization, the City of Madisonville, and the citizens of our community and we are thankful for his service. We also want to express our thanks to M.A.D.D. for presenting officers like Tyler Ogle with this award today.
