COLLEGE STATION A College Station man faces charges after police say he was trying to scare off people with his shot gun.
22-year-old Dustin Curtis is being charged with displaying a firearm in a public place in a manner calculated to alarm. Neighbors called police when they Curtis sat outside his Fox Meadows apartment just after midnight Tuesday, pumping his shotgun.
When police arrived, Curtis told them he lost some property in a near by park and was in a verbal altercation with people he didn't know. Curtis said he returned to his house to get his shotgun to "scare off" anyone who might try to approach him as he looked for his property.
He was arrested and taken to the Brazos County jail.
