Man Arrested for Kidnapping College Station Woman

College Station, TX A College Station woman's life was threatened when she was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend, Lance Gentry, in rural Brazos County on Sunday.

Gentry was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated kidnapping, assault and harassment.

Investigators say Gentry kidnapped his ex-girlfriend from her apartment on Sunday and drove the victim to Smetana where he threatened to kill her.

Gentry allegedly tried to pour gasoline on the victim, and started to strangle her. She was eventually able to escape and call police.

Police say the victim had previously filed a complaint against Gentry for sending her hundreds of threatening text messages.

Bond is set for Gentry at $302,000.
