Man Attacks Police Officer at Local Bar

COLLEGE STATION Around 1 a.m. Friday, officers with the College Station Police Department responded to the 100 block of College Main for a disorderly conduct complaint.

When they arrived on scene, they found the suspect was intoxicated and causing problems with bar staff.

20 year old Samuel Sheppard of College Station was arrested for public intoxication.

Police say Sheppard became violent with officers and kicked one officer in the groin area.

Sheppard was charged with the following:

Assault on a Public Servant
Resisting Search or Transport
Public Intoxication

This case is still under investigation.
