COLLEGE STATION - A Navasota man is under arrested after police say he repeatedly called 9-1-1 then bit an officer at the Brazos County Jail.
Officers say 19-year-old Dreion Stevelle Moore called 9-1-1 a total of 13 times early Tuesday morning. College Station Police say his first call was just before 1 a.m. In the call, he claims that his girlfriend was sexually assaulted two days ago in another town.
Officers went to the address of Moore's call. According to the report, the woman claimed Moore was her ex-boyfriend and that she wasn't sexually assaulted at all. While officers were talking with the woman, Moore called 9-1-1 several more times. Many of the calls ended before Moore would give any other information. Operators told him repeatedly to stop calling or speak with officers on scene.
Around 3:30 a.m., CSPD officers met with a Bryan Police Sergeant who was flagged down by Moore. The BPD Sergeant said Moore was making the same assault claim. He was arrested for Abusive Calls to 9-1-1.
While being processed at the College Station PD Jail, Moore started to resist. He refused to be fingerprinted and raised his closed hands at officers as if to fight. Jailers tried to restrain him. Moore headbutted an officer, then bit him causing the officer to bleed.
Moore is in jail, charged with Assault on a Public Servant and Abusive Calls to 9-1-1.
